Dumpster Diving Pays Off!

On Saturday Daniel and I were pulling out of our parking lot when we spotted a bunch of furniture next to the dumpster. Some of it looked pretty nice so we pulled over to take a look. There we found 2 small, black bookshelves and one 6 foot black bookshelf. They were practically new, just a little dusty, so we hauled them over to our place. They match our stuff perfectly, the only problem is that I don't have enough decorations to fill all that space! That's okay, Christmas is coming. Hint hint! Pretty good Saturday!

Our New Place...Finally!

The last week of October Daniel went home teaching with Quinn. That night he came home so excited and said he had a surprise for me but we had to leave right then. He rushed me to the Jeep and then sped down the street to the Sageview Townhomes. Outside, Quinn was waiting. I said "What is this?" Daniel said "This is our new place!" I was shocked. I have wanted a bigger place forever. It is about twice as big as Mesa Villas, 2 bedrooms 1 1/2 bathrooms. The best features: the dishwasher and the laundry room, two amentities we didn't have before. And... our rent isn't very much more. Our landlord has let us paint any colors we wanted (yes that is a rust colored wall my friends!) we have wonderful next door neighbors Quinn and Ashley (who I grew up with), and my parents our lending us their oh-so-cumfy sectional and dining table. We spent a lot of Halloween weekend moving but it hasn't looked finished until now. So here are some pics of the downstairs. The upstairs is usually messy so those pictures will come later. I love our new place! I will post more pictures when we get everything done..and clean!

Sweet Haircut!

Daniel has been trying to grow his hair out for the past month or so. It usually grows so fast but now that he wants it to, it seems like it's taking forever to get past the awkward, ugly stage so I convinced him to at least trim it. Whenever he gets his hair cut by someone other than Kylene he usually calls me to prepare me to see it when he gets home. This time he wanted me to unlock the door so he could run inside as fast as he could so no one would see it. So I opened the door and the blinds. When he got out of the car I saw it. I literally fell to the ground because I was laughing so hard. Wholy mullet! See for yourself. The cut wasn't bad but it was so funny how she styled it!

Ashley & Jeff's Wedding

I am so happy we were able to go to Ashley and Jeff's wedding in Salt Lake. It was like a weekend event with the whole family and it was great. We decided that the Bundy family isn't much for fancy events (as you can see from the pictures) but we still had a lot of fun. The most memorable part of the wedding for me was the dinner at the Joseph Smith Memorial Building. We got bored waiting for dinner so my sister Jana, brother Jordan, Daniel, and I decided to explore a bit. When we came a piano by the elevator Jana sat down and started to play the Hokey Pokey. Jordan started dancing around the piano. I started laughing and Daniel was so embarrassed of my family. Haha. It was a great time, and we got some good pictures out of it!

Quirks Tag

I think the main reason Kylene tagged me was so I would actually post something. Haha. No, it's cool. I'll play along.
Speaking of Quirks - I smile like this in tons of my pictures I noticed.
6 Quirks of Mine
1. I can eat ice cream at any time of the day. I don't like cereal very much so if I get tired of it, I have ice cream instead.
2. I am deathly afraid of deer. Deer heads and real live deer. Elk are the worst. I can't go into a gas station without having to look at the floor. I'm getting better though.
3. I like to refill my bottled water with tap water. It just tastes more natural that way.
4. I love running up stairs. I have never had stairs in a home until now and I love it. Sometimes I get running so fast that I trip but that's okay. I still love it.
5. I have an addiction to eye drops. I can't stand it if my eyes are dry and red.
6. I am the person that buys or wants to buy so badly the shoes that everyone else thinks "Why would anyone buy those?"

So the 6 people I tag are: Danielle, Eliza, Mandy, Jana, Ashlie, and Brooke.

Halloweeny!

Well, this year was a crazy Halloween but I had a blast at the school with the kids and then Daniel and I used most of the day to move into a new apartment (more to come on that). Later on we went to our friends Morgan and Matt's for a party. I ended up leaving my camera at the school so this picture from my phone was the only picture I have of our amazing costumes. I went as a 1920's flapper and Daniel was some type of 1970's softball player. All in all it was a busy but fun Halloween!

If you ever get bored...build a fort!

Yesterday I went to get something from my dad and they were starting to dig the basement for my parents new house! Yay! Anyway, there were some kids building a fort on the lot next to theirs and I talked to them for a little bit before my dad came over and told them to stop because he didn't want them playing around the hole and backho anymore.
So last night Daniel and I got so bored and he didn't want to go out so what did I suggest? "Let's build a fort!" He went along with it and so here it is. We watched one episode of King of Queens in it then went to sleep in our own bed. Oh well!

Hit and Run!

I came out to my car on Thursday and this is what I found. I thought "Oh someone's tire just rubbed against my bumper." so I went to rub it off and found gashes in the paint. No note and no cameras at the school to find out who it was. I had the police come do a report and such for insurance but pretty much we have to pay to get it fixed! Son of a gun I was ticked. If you ever hit someone, PLEASE be courteous and leave a note!

Yearbook Yourself

We didn't get home until midnight last night but we saw this on a friend's blog (shout out to Brooke and Bryce) and had to try it out. You know how when you're tired everything seems more funny. We were laughing so hard. I hope you enjoy it and try it out for your self. http://www.yearbookyourself.com/
I had to post this one because I
look just like my mom did!
Check out this hot 1970's stud. I would
have dated him for sure!
1994! I knew I was born a decade too late!

Husband Tribute

I have seen lots of blogs that people write to their husbands on their birthdays etc. but I decided that yesterday was a very special day and that Daniel deserves this one! Since school has started both of us have been totally stressed out and busy. We usually only get a couple hours a night together. So last night I walked out to my car and got in and was shocked. My car was actually clean! Daniel had taken my car to get it washed. I was so happy so I called him to say thanks and he he told me that he had taken care of all our financial aid stuff and was waiting at home with a pizza so I didn't have to cook! It had been such a long day at work and school and this is what I had to come home to. It was awesome. Thanks Daniel! You are such a sweetheart!

New Car!

So after 190,000 miles the Honda finally started to go out on us. We had been having trouble with it all summer and were even down to one car for a while. One night we went to look at a Mustang, Daniel's dream car, and parked next to it was this Jeep Liberty at a screaming deal. We decided we would jump at the chance. The dealership was able to trade in the Honda and pay off my car so it was awesome for us. We finally have a car that we can take to the ranch!

Ankle Update!

These pictures are kind of gross but this whole ankle thing has been a big change in our life these past two weeks so I thought I would post them.
Daniel has been trying to work a couple hours a day and has been going to physical therapy twice a week. It has been crazy times with his car broken down and me starting my new job. I have to give credit to couples who share a car. My first week at Horizon Elementary has been awesome so far but getting there on time and getting home has been tricky.
So there's the update. It's actually getting better even though it doesn't look like it.

Happy Birthday Hunt-a- Matic!

Sunday August "Fird" was my nephew Hunter's 4th birthday. I thought these pics were cute so I wanted to post them.

Hunter with his John Deere loader tractor we got him.

Daniel and Hunter. He loves to play with "Dan-yo" but hasn't been able to lately because of Daniels ankle. Sad!

Congrats Judd!

This post is specially for my oldest brother Judd who after ten years of going to school has finally finished his four year degree in Construction Management. Not to mention he has had 3 little boys in that time also. Lots of work for him and his wife Ashlie. So we went to their home in Saratoga Springs last Saturday to throw him a little surprise party. Congratulations Judd!

California, Two Babies!

So I have been trying to upload all the cute pictures I have of the two new nephews our families were blessed with last week and I was finally able to find the time.
My brother Judd and his wife Ashlie had their third little boy on Monday, July 28.

Cooper Evan Bundy

He was followed closely by Daniel's oldest sister Joanne and her husband Jim's 5th child.

Elijah Christian Mortensen

Who was born on Wednesday, July 30. They are both adorable and we are so happy that they are finally here. Joanne and her family are visiting from Saudi Arabia this summer and we are happy that we actually get to see this baby in real life!

How we spent the 24th...

So I was enjoying my day off a work with my mom when we got a call from my dad. He asked if Daniel had let me know that he had hurt his ankle at work today. Um, no, he hadn't! I texted him and he replied with a picture text of his foot, swollen hugely.

So then it was a trip to the Instacare. Luckily all of this was covered by Workers Comp.
They took X-Rays etc. and decided that it was only a bad sprain. Which means no work, softball, basketball, or extended walking for Daniel.

This was his foot then at the doctors. Day One I guess.

Day Two. And this is now, last night. A lot worse! We are still hoping it's only a sprain but we are supossed to go back on Monday if the swelling doesn't go down and the numbness doesn't go away. Aaah!

Once it was lost but now it is found!

I wish I could take a picture of my camera with my camera but I finally found it! Well actually Daniel found it. After 2 months of not blogging because I didn't have any pictures to post I finally can so I'll try to stay updated on everything going on in our kinda boring summer lives!

Happy Birthday Taylor!

Sunday was my bro. Taylor's 24th birthday and since my camera is still lost I got these few pics. off of my moms camera. We had a BBQ (sort of, it started raining) and had a little family party. Don't let the Grizzly Adams beard fool you, he still seems like a nice guy.

Taylor with his cake from''The Sweetest Thing". It was actually pretty good!

I hadn't seen Chloe in what seemed like weeks! Look how big she's getting!

My bro. Jordan was able to stop by for some cake on his break. Nice nostrils!

Someone Help Me Get Rid of The Green!

I cannot get rid of this green background so you can see the cute stuff behind it. Plus it doesn't match! I have tried everything I know. Can anyone help? I'm taking suggestions....

There's nothin' like a trip to Lagoon!

I haven't updated our blog for a while because I lost my camera. I have a feeling I'm just not looking hard enough. Anyway-
This past weekend we went to Lagoon with my family. I love rollercoasters, Daniel not so much. Luckily my brothers were there to go with me. We had lots of fun even though it was packed and so hot. I must say that there are some really squirrely people that go to theme parks. I wish I would have had my camera so I could have taken pictures to show them to all of you but oh well. We still had fun!

A few pictures to show the addiction to Pepsi that the men in my family have...

Yes folks... those are 44 oz. mug that were refilled about 20 times that day. Yikes!

Home, well apartment, Improvements

So I decided that if we are going to be in our apartment any longer then I had to make some changes. My mom had a great idea to do the background of cabinets red. So I buy foam board and spray paint it red. It looked hideous as you can see. Daniel was sweet enough to tell me the truth and to help me out with this little project of mine. We actually ended up making a few other changes to the apartment while we were at it so here are some pictures.

Daniel's #23

Monday was Daniel's 23rd birthday! He had a very busy birthday including basketball and breakfast with his friends at 6am then doing yard work for his uncle. After that we went swimming at the new Rec. Center in Washington and then to lunch at In N Out with friends, then to top it off we had a birthday party at his parent's house for him and his brother Jarod who's birthday was on the 23rd. It was a busy but good day. I love you Daniel! I hope you had a good birthday!

Daniel and Jarod with Jarod's boys Cameron and Colby.

Daniel working on his model 1967 Mustang he got for his birthday.

I'm proud to be a Bundy from Mt. Trumbull!

Every year on Memorial Day weekend my family makes the 2 hour, very dusty truck ride out to our family's ranch on the Arizona strip. This year was no exception and it was a blast, even though it rained most of the time. I was shocked because it's usually dry and dusty and oh so hot! The highlights of the trip were eating Dutch oven potatoes chalkfull of everything Daniel doesn't like (onions & mushrooms), watching the dogs fight during testimony meeting, losing miserably at Pinochle, and winning, well tying, in a foot race against my bro. Taylor's girlfriend Bethany. The important thing was that I got to see most of my dad's family and learn a little bit more about my Bundy heritage.
